Krokodile halten sich tagsüber eigentlich an Land auf. Dabei liegen sie meist regungslos am Ufer oder auf Sandbänken zum Sonnenbaden. Nachts sind sie im Wasser, lauern auf Beute und jagen.
Dieses Exemplar lag auch bei Dunkelheit regungslos an Land.
