When I found his fleet, he was online, but I just kept an eye on it. After several hours his activity became minutes, and I spied again on him. The fleet was still there. So I sent the recyclers and attacked, but he had activity again. After spying it seemed that some part of his small fleet just came home, so I just let my fleet keep flying, and finally got him. He came online before my recyclers arrive, instantly built some recyclers, and harvested a small part of the debris field (about 600K), and I got the rest of it. My loss was very little and the profit was still good, so I'm quite satisfied with it.
